Happy Holidays! From our show at the Can Can posted by tim on 2007-06-12 Yes, we are still alive... Well, we haven't played any shows since January, I almost didn't realize that it's been so long... We have been writing some new material, and have has some crazy stuff in our lives slowing down our music a bit. I ruptured one of my achilles tendons skateboarding, and have has a cast on for 6 weeks... It has been difficult to rock with a cast on my foot, so I've been punching the pedalboard with plaster from the folding chair... The cast comes off on Monday, the 21st, and despite most likely having a weak ankle, I'm ready to rock again. (I might fall over) We are playing at the Can Can on the 30th with our practice space roomate's Sam Squared. They are great, and it's going to be a fun show. Come out and rock with us at a great unique venue... If you don't know where the Can Can is, it's in the space where Patty Summers used to be, downstairs from Pike Place Bar & Grill... See you there! posted by tim on 2007-05-17 Super Awesome Shows Guaranteed! We have two great shows this week. Firstly, a fantastic show at the Sunset on Saturday... ![]() Then a show at El Corazon next Tuesday (All ages!) Come see Dave's progeny! You can see us play this song! “Whenever someone asks me if I want water with my Scotch, I say I'm thirsty, not dirty.” - Joe E. Lewis posted by greg on 2007-01-16 do you know the deal? We had a fun show last night at Fuel. It seemed like Tim was on a high like never before. Thanks to all that came, we hope you liked the new songs. We have a show-a-month currently for those that are interested. Next month, November 10th, we are playing at the Rendezvous/Jewel Box theater for our friend Tom. He's showing a couple movies, among them a snowboard video that features The Current Mile! It should be a really fun and intimate time! There are rumors all over The Internet that Sean-Juan plans to grow a mustache for the event, so it's a must-see. In December (the 2nd) we are joining our friends Juhu Beach at the Jules Maes Saloon down in G-town. It's a hottt saturday night so there isn't any good excuse not to come out, drink right to the edge of responsibility, and request 'Freebird.' Friendly updates: our friends The Gods of Antiquity moved in nextdoor to us. Kyle and Tim have both contributed to our friend Brian's Lonesome Rhodes project. I've also heard that Spook The Horse just finished recording their new album. I love scotch. Scotchy, scotch, scotch. Here it goes down, down into my belly... -Ron Burgundy posted by greg on 2006-10-08 cripes! I blew another driver. Here is an artist's representation of our last practice: ![]() "I love to sing, and I love to drink scotch. Most people would rather hear me drink scotch." - George Burns posted by greg on 2006-09-08 let's get this party started I think our news updates have been pretty sparse. I'd like this to be a site with more entertainment value. Therefore, I'm going to make more-than-occasional retarded observations about our day-to-day band life to entertain the 9 people that read this website. I am also going to attempt to hyphenate as many semi-words as I can throughout. We have been so prolific with new music lately that we have been hardly able to keep it straight in our heads. Thanks to our friend in Portland, Jason Bradley, we've had use of some incredible equipment that enables us to record our practices in great detail. We honestly have a couple of songs nearly done in the <2 months that Sean and Dave have been playing, and scores of other scores ready to be completed. As Tim has alluded to, we have been playing around with more experimental keyboard stuff. Rest assured though, we all like playing in a rock band and we always will. We are not turning into Kraftwerk. So, the blown drivers (mine) and rectifiers (kyle) in practice lately should tell you we're working hard in order to knock your socks off at Fuel on October 7th. We booked a pretty cool show in January too. Check out our myspace page for details. "The light music of whiskey falling into a glass - an agreeable interlude." - James Joyce posted by greg on 2006-08-27 yeah, so... long story short, Lincoln moved out of state, and Matt decided to bail out at the same time... It's been fun guys, thanks for playing, and thanks for going on tour with us. It was super fun... Kyle, Greg, and I weren't sure what to do, but our old drummer, David Goodman called up and said that he wanted to play music with us again. We have a long history together, so we decided to go for it. A friend of Dave's, Sean MacDonald was interested in playing bass, so we tried him out, and so far he's been a great fit in our band. We are currently writing new material, and have been for the last month or so. Greg's keys are playing a bigger part in some of the new songs, adding an electronic element that we've never really explored, and we're pretty pumped about it. Don't be misled, though, we are still a rock band... Another thing that we are pretty excited about, is we decided to make all our music available for download on our website... for FREE... If you like it, and want to buy the CDs later to support us, that's cool, and much appreciated. If you want to download the songs, put them on your mp3 player, and never buy the record, that's cool too. Just listen, and come to our shows, that's all we ask. Click on our music link above, and all three of our records are available as high quality mp3's. posted by tim on 2006-08-10 |
